A little embarrassing, but how can I get my drake to stop trying to “mate” me?????????

Ok, this is the first time I’ve ever had a drake doing this. He even has hens that he mates, so I don’t get him problem!
Have you tried getting him with the hose? When my Muscovy drake keeps coming at me I turn the hose on him full blast it only takes a few seconds for him to get out of dodge he does not like to be blasted.

No, I didn’t try that. It hard because it’s usually when I’m in the backyard, and we don’t have a hoes there!

I have no experience with drakes but was interested to read if anyone had any tips and tricks that might work.
One suggestion sounded great but you haven’t seriously tried because the fence was too low.

How about a real lock up with his duck lady. You could use panels, put netting over the fence (with or without a extra pole). Or use the garage, shed, party tent or whatever there is available in or around the house to lock them up for a day or two (?). Until they love 💕 or hate ⚔️ each other.

That might work!! It just hard for me to keep have ducks lock up and having to take care of them separately from the flock!
