With a fully absorbed yolk sac chicks don't need to eat for 48 - 72 hours. However, after about 24 hours when they get to moving around and start being active you will see them start to peck and eat. Just make sure you see them drinking. I have hatched orpingtons that started eating within 2 hours of being put in the brooder.

Thanks , Ive let them know that the water was there by gently sticking their beaks in the water but have not observe them drinking any ?

Just keep an eye on them. It can take them a while to finally drink. By day 3 you want to make sure they are drinking by dipping their beaks again if you haven't witnessed them gathered around the water coler gossiping
