Babies and youngsters can indeed be little miracles when it comes to surviving the cold. GREAT call on giving the cold little chick a chance.

Yes, I once found a tiny mini foal, cold and stiff in the mud. Her Dam had been bred by a "trainer" while there for driving training. Apparently she wanted our mare bred to her stallion and she just never told us...grrr.. I scooped the baby, packed it in hot blankets (put in the dryer), into the truck and SPED an hour to the vet's.
