A Little Off Topic ....... Sucker Run is On!

Boyd, they weren't selling cookies--they were catching suckers to sell!! That was pretty long ago, though, about 25 years.

Lol now that is funny!!!!!!! Sucker fishing is something me and my son do every year. I am thinking of taking today off from the run in order to maybe go pickup some quail

Boy, do I love sucker!! My grandfather- who happened to be German- would catch enough in the Spring to smoke, pickle, fry, freeze, whatever to last all year long. When I was a kid, I loved spending a whole week fishing with Grandpa - just the two of us. And all the fish we could eat. My husband and I also have passed on the love of suckers to my son. Yesterday we actually checked the creeks looking for them. Can't wait!! YUM!!
