You sound like my DH

but we actually had them in concrete holding tanks for a few days or huge wooden boxes with holes in them in a river. Gets rid of any unpleasant aroma.

Sucker, when caught in early spring, is quite tasty. My uncle smokes the fish and it is DELICIOUS!

Oh yeah - it's been on here for a few weeks now. DBF has caught plenty of them and is planning to pickle and can them using the pressure cooker. We've heard (never tried it before) that the bones disintegrate and we both love pickled herring (in the cream sauce is the best!)

I don't even mess around with the potatoes! I just grab a fork and eat it right out of the jar!!! LOVE the stuff so if the suckers come out anywhere near as good I'll be thrilled!

i think they are bigger than a SNIPE.... smaller than a jackalope... and you hunt them with a net..
