Well the change has not all been by choice. The kids sold thier horses and moved out leaving the wife's horse which was 26 when we had to put her down 2 years ago. Then we got the pygmy goats and the wife had a stroke and was not able to help me much with them then I injured shoulders and couldn't handle the bucks so we gave up showing and just kept a couple special ones for pets. But with the chickens the wife can help much more and she loves to go out and watch them and gather eggs and care for them.
I think something may have gone a little wrong though. We had planned to get 12 chickens. We now have 3 hens and 17 chicks.
