After 15 years of dreaming of having backyard chickens, buying a coop and then chickening-out (ha!) and making a million excuses... someone handed me a dozen fertilized eggs yesterday. I think I’m FINALLY doing it, just the way it needed it to go. Instead of spending hours (days...years?) planning and organizing - I’m just jumping in. I still have a coop to build but I have ordered all the chick supplies. These are Phoenix-RIR hybrids but other than that I’m just winging it as I go, reading and watching YouTube like crazy. So happy to be here and look forward to learning with y’all.
