Hi everyone! I found a very bloody poop this morning, chicks are all vaccinated and all are acting normal. I give non medicated feed and a handful of herbs. I have introduced grass and dirt slowly. I’m very worried... what could this be???

Have you picked up and examined all your chickens for signs of fresh injuries? That blood appears to be coming from an external wound. Examine feet, combs, and vents for injury.

If you see none, keep a close eye on the poop for any more blood. If this is an internal issue, it will show up again in more poop. Then you might suspect coccidiosis, and you will probably need to start the flock on a couple rounds of Corid or whatever coccidiostat is sold in your country if you aren't in the US.

Thank you for your response! I looked all of them over and found the one that’s bleeding. We went and picked up some Corid and put it in the water. She had three more messes. The 4th was free of blood. Do you think she has coccidosis? Would the corid work that fast?
