A Modding adventure. (Calling all Minecrafters)

I have done a little bit of modding in the past for Java.

I am deeply upset by Minecraft's lack of chickens so I want to create a mod that will add a bunch new types.

We can all work on modding projects and post our progress here.

I will be creating a mod for bedrock this time so something I've never done, plus I don't even remember how to do Java.

Tagging some Minecrafters I know incase you wanna join in or just follow along!

One of the recent Minecraft Marketplace freebies was a sort of farming simulator, which looked like it had some custom chickens at a glance. If it's still available, you might be able to get ideas for your project.

Hmm.... I suppose I could try to make a crown, I was gonna do it dubbed just because that would be so much easier but I could give it a shot.

I know I probably shouldn't but I'm going to start with the entity models instead of actual code cause designing the entity is the most fun part.

soo would you make differents pawn eggs for each breed, and make different varieties spawn? or jsut one egg and...

I think I'll make each breed have their own egg, then hopefully I can make it so within each breeds there are different verities, similarly to how there are different colored horses, there would be different colored chickens for each breed.

so wyould you be able to change the body shpae for different breeds, and sutff tilek that/

Yeah, I will probably give each breed the same data as a chicken but they would technically be different mobs, meaning different spawn eggs for each, different models, etc....

Oh, that would be cool, would/could you make they're legs thicker and the same color as the body for feather legged breeds?
I have an account but I haven't played in years, I get motion sick with it. I think I gave it to my brother.
