Oh I see what you mean, the old if such and such happens on Capital Hill we'll all be applying leaches and everyone over 70 will be put to sleep.
If it's proven in research that this works better, eventually, evrryone will have their feet held to the fire to do it, or to life flight people to a place that has the cooler. Except I don't think the cooler is a big deal. Ice cubes do in a pinch.
Kind of like with the head injury stuff. Protocol has totally changed, thanks to two very persistent and stubborn doctors. It used to be, 'um...hmmm...well, let's wait and see', and now it's to heck with that, stick that shunt in, get the pressure off, plenty of medicine and work, and then watch the person get a whole lot better.
