Ah sorry for the 2nd reply, but I also would be honored and joyous to hear about your experience at the monastery. I personally have only been to one for my ordination, and currently reside in a town without a Sangha near enough to visit.

I live in CT but studied at Zen Mountain Monastery in Mt. Tremper NY. I mostly participated in weekend retreats, and a few week-long sesshins. I also spent a month in residency one summer. Happy to connect via email if you'd like to talk more.
