A new Serama-sized game bantam

I may have to call a partial defeat on this line. They’ve ended up not Serama sized at all. They’re more like gamey, long-legged, Dutch bantams in their maturity. They reasonably conform to the ABA standards for the Red Junglefowl bantam, a breed I’ve never heard anyone talk about before.

When the brood cock is done molting I’ll post updated pics.

Red Junglefowl do not exist anymore so the RJF bantam cannot exist either.

You can get something that looks close from fawn (wild type) OEGB hens and BBR OEGB rooster. Getting the white earlobes, tuft of down at the base of the tail and truncated call in the rooster is the hardest part.

Wild type is the same as BBR but isn’t the same as fawn.
 
Sorry. Fawn must be the wrong discriptor. I mean OEGB hens that look like this
