Jill PLEASE wear safety glasses around the chickens at all times. Eye sight is too important to loose to the whims of a chicken.Hope your eye heals perfectly fine.

Absolutely! I completely agree with your advice. We keep safety glasses on a carabiner at the coop & run entrance. I am afraid if I don’t wear them I might end up with another incident. Better safe than sorry. . Thanks for offering help!

Been there done that with the eye peck...I thought a pullet was starting to show some affection when she flew up and landed on my shoulder, till she reached over and bit my eyelid! I had this perfect triangular bruise for ages! Of course it was super obvious and everyone asked about it and I had to explain that “it’s just a chicken bite”
