A Pox on Mine House

When I was a child almost all mother's used to rub VapoRub on our chests when we had a cold. Once my Mom took me to the doctor and he told her "the next time you feel compelled to rub Vick's on something rub it on her a**, at least it won't draw in the cold and give her pneumonia!" LOL That was back when the family doctor could say anything to you.

Hot baths...

Showers...inhale the steam...

Hot tea, especially with lemon and chamomile...

A liberal spread of Vicks...

Orange juice and lots and lots of water...

Chicken soup...

Very warm and comfortable pajamas (or a sweatsuit with a T-shirt underneath), thick socks, and a bed with lots of blankets...

Plenty of quiet and rest...

Feel better soon!

Funny, yes. My mom did too. In a pinch I've been known to use minty muscle rub under my nose, and one time I waxed my eyebrows with that sticky paper for bugs, don't tell anyone, it worked.

Seriously, Vicks on the soles of your feet with socks.

Strep: take your antibiotics and rest. Use Tylenol or aspirin for pain. Suck on lozenges, or drink tea, or light Wildsky's candles, and lick the hot dripping wax.

MP, ear infections usually go away quickly with:
Ceftin500mg tabs,
Disp: 16tabs,
Sig: 1BID until all gone.

Hopefully you can get a doc to phone that scrip in (If you are allergic to PCN there is a 10% chance of cross allergenicity, so then you'd want to think about something else.)

also, use a good nasal decongestant... like Afrin and Nyquil will help you sleep at night.

Good luck.

Have you ever taken Keflex? If you have taken Keflex(Cephalexin) without problems, then you should be able to do Ceftin.

Oh Miss P... I hope you're better soon.
My husband swears by Peach Schnapps... I think he figures he's killing the germs with alcohol from the inside out.
