A Question About Ducks - Broodiness?

What seems to be wrong with the egg??
Can you leave it with the ducks just in case, or is it really bad?
I think you could try with the corn, I'm not sure why not. I really don't know if that would make them go broody, or how long it will be before they start to lay again. Mine waited about four weeks but I don't know if that had to do her taking care of the ducklings or if that's just what always happens after they are broody. At some point the weather might be too cold to be hatching out ducklings, but I don't know if the climate you have there may be milder that way.
