A Rhode Island Red and a White Leghorn

I was just wondering what you thought of my chookens we got them from a feed store one is Angel the other is Nutmeg. I wanted to know what comments you had about the quality of them because I thought it would be interesting to know. They both lay and Nutmeg is a little older than a pullet.

They do look like feed store quality birds. They should both be good layers.

Yeah one I definitely know is laying right now because I saw an egg of hers when taking the picture, but the other might’ve stopped laying for a little because it’s cold but probably because she’s a new layer but Nutmeg laid a really pretty speckled egg.

The LH layes white eggs and the RIR layes brown eggs so it should not be hard to tell the difference between them.

I know, but normally my older sister collects the eggs. I just saw a pretty brown speckled egg in the egg holder and knew she was laying.
