A Roo or Hen?

Hi! I have a sultan chicken and I suspect its a Roo. How can I tell for sure? She/He is about 9 weeks old. My hubby said she/he was behind one of our leghorns trying to mate? I dont see a comb yet but she/he has so much fluff on her head its hard to see anything else. thanks for any info!

9 weeks is too young for mating. Do you have a picture of the chick?

I'm not super familiar with the breed, but I'd say pullet.

then what would make them act like that? almost like a mating?
