A series of Events...The making of a mother in Chile

It's the same way with chickens. You can't make" a hen go broody, but a little encouragement goes a long way ... and it looks like Goldie took the hint!
we are happy- she sits all day and nigh with few breaks- we let her out in the duck run with 1 or 2 other girls twice a day for 15 to 20 minutes- today sh had some fresh veggies -we call them choppins- she hung out with Ms Mally

UPDATE>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
Another girl was looking frazzled (prolapsed cloaca)- so now we will make another mom- we are doing this by providing her a nest and eggs- hers and her sisters eggs and then making her stay in that area most of the time -switch goes on-- this is how we encouraged Goldie to be a mom we will post pics in the morning. You can see the girls change posture, voice and many other behaviors, but if we put her back in general population then she quickly reverts and ignores the nest....then a switch goes off!
@YodaBat, @WannaBeHillBilly, @Miss Lydia your thoughts??

We shall keep her nesting. She seems to care for her eggs so we will let her.

Good luck with her! I am still baffled that you can "make" a duck go broody. - And yes for her prolapse this is a very welcome time of rest.
The ducks here are being contaminated by Katharina and her babies, now i have two other ducks beautifying a nest and starting to sit, a Magpie and a Buff Orpington. But i don't want any more ducklings so i will continue to remove the eggs… Until i get tricked again.
