A small problem (includes cats)

@Trisseh - May I ask what "the hard way" about your cat means? The only reason I want to know is to see if I can prevent my cats from doing the same or something...

Not Trisseh, but I had a cat that for his first summer would jump on the (cold) kitchen woodstove when I visited my parents to get away from their overfriendly dog. Once fall came and the stove was hot, he did the same thing one time, and jumped off as fast as he jumped on. I was there and scooped him up and checked his feet, but couldn't find any sign of injury. Needless to say, he did not jump on the hot stove again.

His sister never did jump up, and no other cat has ever done so, including the current 3 indoor ones.

Thanks for the input!
