A tough topic

I am sorry if I came on too strong and offended anyone! But doing that to ducklings is so wrong! Good luck with helping these poor creatures. The sellers need to know that this is not right and stop this from happening again, by informing the ignorant perpetrator to never do this horrible thing again.
No reason to sound off here tho, it's not the OP's fault.

OK, umm, so a lot to digest.
Now - please try and remember, I am not native of the country I live in, I don't speak the native language fluently much less the small local town language. A very traditional town, with outdated views, which are changing more with the next generation.
I didn't start this practice. Many around here likely do keep birds in very close quarters. We free range our birds, they live in happiness and harmony, they have free access to water to swim and 3000m2 of organic orange groves to forrage naturally, we feed them, we care for them, we love them. We didn't realise they had clipped their beaks when we bought them. And try and remember my first point...

As they have grown the gap has become less noticeable, so it has either grown in a little or the difference looks less. I'll take a photo tomorrow.
The toenails weren't cut at the knuckle, literally just the tip/skin was caught on some toes, some were just taken down as close as possible. We will put all measures in place to ensure they are just as happy as the rest of the flock if they don't grow back.
We won't be buying any more we hope, we have 4 different sets of genetics and plan to breed our own.

Thank you.

Here is a picture of the damage.
I have noticed some of the claws are growing Back, so hope they didn't cut them so short and they grow back.
