If you treat the animal well and the product is not harmful, what difference does it make whether it is in its natural state or decorated?
Do you get upset with owners who request or groomers who give fancy trims? How about fancy collars or "apparel"? Or costumes at Halloween? Do you wear makeup (ever) or dye your hair (ever)? Have pierced ears?
My point is that I am a person and can decide what I want done with myself. I never gave my dog anything but basic health grooming. I once tried to put a new year's hat on her, but I was seven and didn't know any better.Once I saw she hated it, i took it off.
And dyeing your dog and putting makeup on yourself are two different kettles of fish.
Also, I DID put on makeup once or twice and have peirced ears, but as I stated, I'm not a dog.
