A tribute to the Pudster, guard cat extraordinaire!

Pudster is the cat in the pics of Nugget where he is stepping up onto the picnic table to swipe Puddies mashed potatoes. He's such a good cat; he takes care of the chickens and ducks, allows the babies to cuddle up to him, helps run off skunks, hawks, owls, dogs, and other predators. I just wanted to post some pics of the puddy man, I'm very proud of him and love to pieces.

He is very sweet and very pretty. What a good boy he is.
I love that he likes sweet potatoes and corn.
My wonderful cat is very much the guard cat too. He sleeps on the chicken coop roof during the day and if the chickens make a noise that is out of the ordinary he comes running to help.

I forgot to mention I was holding Nugget the whole time Puddy was eating so he wouldn't steal his taters again!

He's pretty, he looks a lot like my Pip (named after a character from the SciFi series Farscape) . Pudster's a pretty kitty!

I love how the Nugget and the white chicken in the background have their necks crained to check out those mashed potatos! And Pudster's like, "hey go lay an egg will ya?"

Oh my gosh, Kate he is soooo cute. I have protective kitties too. I can leave chicks in a box on the floor and they curl around it. They have never once tried to hurt them

I have a guard kitty on patrol as well, keeps everything that isn't his off the property. He likes to perch on the fench between the yards and make sure nothing bothers his chickens/bunnies.

Not as photogenic as pudster.

Puddy Man just loves the camera and really turns on the cute. That little white roo in the background is in so many of pics in that exact same pose! Puddy has taken to sleeping inside the pen the coop is in and the nights it rains he sleeps on one of the milk crates inside the coop with chickens and Babette the duck.
