A Tumor or Lump Has Just Appeared on My Pullet's Beak

Update: Yesterday the lump was slightly bigger; more round than flat, although it still didn't seem to be bothering her. Today I woke up and it's almost completely gone (ie flat), but now with a scabby looking crust on it. I'm hoping this is because it's healing. Will continue to monitor and update.

I was kind of working towards that one persons theory that they just drop off and heal up, so I haven't put anything on it. Will keep updating though because I know how frustrating it is to find a thread with no conclusion.

I think that I remember a thread about some bumps on the beak being possibly caused by papilloma viruses. Some of threads I have read have reported they fall off after a certain amount of time.

Not the clearest shot, but honestly if I hadn't already known it was there, I wouldn't have spotted it. It's scabbing but it's definitely gone down.

Good news! Looks like it's all but healed, I noticed yesterday I couldn't see it anymore. Thank god. I'm happy to be that dude who doesn't know what it is, just that it goes away on its own.
