Greetings, I have a big head scratcher to ask this young he is named Shamrock She has this condition called Cross beak, which makes eating drinking and preening her feathers very hard deep down I believe there is a way to surgically fix her lower jaw so she can use her beak like a normal check in. I mean if our teeth have ways to get fixed, why can’t a chickens beak but it’s only her lower beak that I dream of finding a way to fix

Welcome To BYC

If you wish to explore surgical repairs as a possibility, consult an Avian Vet in your area.

Not convinced
Ok.
Imagine you were born with crooked leg, it would take months or years of breaking, reforming, surgery, casts etc to get that sucker straight.
Beak is different than bone, it's sensitive and doesn't heal like everything else.
You'd have to break the lower jaw and reset it in a brace and hope it heals right. Also, chickens can't take pain meds.

I add water to the chicken feed to make a pate for Rosie. She had a cross beak upon arrival - so from birth. She does well with this and asserts herself to command the mash as the other 8 chicks seem to also enjoy.

My question is there harm that the others also eat the mash? I know nutritionally it’s ok, but want to make sure I haven’t created an ever ration for them as they mature

It's fine.

You worry you've created an ever ration for them - do you mean that from now on, you'll have to make a mash for all of them?

Provide some dry feed for the others too, there's no harm in them eating the feed as mash from now on if that's what you are worried about.
