Sad and confused

I had a isa brown suddenly started acting lethargic so I bought her inside and gave her a Epson salt bath, and smelled her breath to see if it was sour ( it wasn't ). then I noticed her butt was dirty so I cleaned it off after I was done I wrapped her up in a towel and she started seizing and acting like she was throwing up I quickly called my mom and she quickly took her and held her over the tub we unwrapped her and she had pooped white and yellowish poop sadly she passed we googled it and it said that it could be that her kidneys shut down because she was egg bound. should we be worried about our other chickens. She was oneish maybe two.

Sorry to hear this. Isa Brown breed is somewhat known for health concerns. @SkyAJK may give you some more info. Has been dealing with Isa Browns in the flock for some time.

So sorry for your loss. The best way to find out what was wrong is to have your state vet lab do a necropsy. To do that, the body must be kept cold, not frozen, and taken in or shipped overnight M-F. Hens can suffer from several different reproductive disorders, cancer, fatty liver disease, and crop problems. This list is for most state labs:

When chickens die they can wretch and twist their necks, and crop contents come up. It is always a bit shocking to witness in your hen. Yellow in the droppings she passed may be related to reproductive or liver problems, both common in chickens. Sometimes I do a home necropsy to view the abdominal organs, to see if I can spot something abnormal. Many people will post pictures here of their necropsies for opinions.

It can be hard to know why she died without further investigation like having a necropsy through your state lab. You can find your lab in the link below.
