That is really really a very cool thing to do!! Did you buy your chicks as sexed pullets or straight run?

I guess sexed pullets--They're 90% probably female.
I will be really disappointed if we got a rooster--especially it it's one I really like.
I just had a chicken class tonight and learned that boy chickens don't have, um, wieners.
I was wondering why it was so hard to tell them apart, but I never thought they wouldn't have external sex organs--that's weird.

They looked like pullets, but your odds are always increased when buying sexed chicks vs. straight run. Your girls are really adorable!!

I don't know if you had mentioned it or not, but what what type of camera do you shoot with? I like your chicken studio. How did you build it? What sort of lighting did you use? Is photography your hobby or profession? I really enjoyed watching your girls grow for 30 days straight. How did they react to the grass/treats you gave them?

I have 21 chicks this year(plus 4 hens from last year) and I love taking pictures of them. Any suggestions for outdoor photo shoots? I also enjoy taking photos of my dogs and my friends dogs at dog shows. Any suggestions for taking clear photos in low(lower) light where using a flash is not allowed? Many thanks in advance, and sorry if I asked too many questions.

I just love photography and enjoy learning about the art. Personally I feel that there is/can be feeling and emotion in any object you choose to photograph. My hiccup is always knowing exactly how to reach that feeling and emotion through the use of a camera.​
