Gotcha!) "we have a long way ahead." Mongoose nodded to the hint of green that dipped over the horizon, wavering in the heat. The bone happened to be the start of his ivory tusks, (I'm going somewhere with this. It isn't random.)
Mongoose padded up the dune, slowing to a halt beside sun. "why were you exiled?" she asked bluntly. The young cat was staring out at the far away horizon longingly. she misses it too.."Jungle," Sun whispered; her ears pricked up and she could almost feel the spray of its waterfalls and its breeze as she padded after her friends. She was so close, and yet so far. The Tribe of the Rising Sun would likely kill her as soon as she was spotted, but it didn't matter anymore; she had travelled so far to the savannah and now her paw-pads bled as she raced ahead of the group toward the towering trees.
(All the characters, except maybe Stickybeak, because I don't know what she is doing, cause she's not in the tribe yet.)As Sun heard Papyrus' voice declare it was only a mirage she stopped in her tracks and heaved to catch her breath. What a toad-brain, she thought. (See what I did there??) It couldn't have possibly been this close. Turning her head back to the group, she waited for them to catch up, regret pulsing through her veins.
(Also, which characters are travelling with them?)
Nile felt uncomfortable, perhaps she was going to be interrogated next. Lion wasn't worried about his heritage, but he knew Nile was.Sun was hesitant. "I was out hunting with another cat of my tribe when suddenly he was attacked by another cat and killed. When my tribe returned, they could only assume I killed him. No one is that reckless, after all." She sighed and turned to Mongoose. "Why did you leave?"
