AACCKK!! Did I kill it?

It lives! I woke up this morning to see it hatched- however, it is somewhat sticky (to be expected)! So far it is the only one from that shipment to hatch (I had 2 in the incubator) and it is a copper maran (so we are pretty excited about that

) I have 2 more I have left in- I couldn't jear anything, but they felt pretty warm, so I will check them again tomorrow!

The rule I use is...wait 3 days after the last one hatches before discarding the remaining eggs...I have several late bloomer chicks running around here!

Thanks- for some reason I was thinking 3 days after the first hatch. I will certainly remember that!! Just when I think I'm getting it down- lol!!

I have hatched 18 bantam cochins and the copper maran. The cochins are my eldest dd's (4H) and the maran will join the ranks of the strictly pet chickens (crossing my fingers its a girl- lol!)

They are toooo cute!!

The rule is anytime a poster makes us worry, fret, lose sleep and turn grey, pictures are owed, even if you have to walk miles in the snow for camera batteries.

I think it is in the fine print around here somewhere.
