I bought bands from the American Bantam Association, they and there website states to band them at 8 weeks of age, my d'Uccles are 4 weeks old and luckily I thought to try one on and to my belief they have so much feathering on the feet I could barely get them on the feet, once on they have PLENTY of room to grow, they take a size 15mm, none of them have fallen off but if you plan to band your d'Uccles(if you haven't banded this breed before) I recommend trying them at 4 weeks, mine were very unhappy about the growing feathers but if I ha waited any longer I would have been breaking or pulling blood feathers, causing unwanted and un needed pain to my chicks.

Just thought I would share for those like me who haven't banded feathered foot birds.
