Abandoned baby turkey????!!

The animal shelter said that?? In my opinion, that's something they should never say... they help save animals' lives, not kill them! She would have died if you hadn't rescued her by your description, so I think it was absolutely the right thing to do. Here, we have a fantastic rescue that will take anything from raccoons to foxes to birds, squirrels, etc. We're lucky to have them here, they've never turned down an animal from us - even a baby bunny our cats got, who went to a professional bunny rescuer they knew (I didn't even know there was such a thing, haha!) Are you going to let her go once she's strong enough, or are you thinking of keeping her? It might take a while for her to get big and hardy enough to survive alone outside... but at least it's not winter anymore! sending good vibes as well :)
