Someone told me I would get more replies here than on the duck forum.
I have a duck named Hula who recently hatched 6 ducklings, with still 8 eggs to go. Well, she kinda ditched her nest and the chickens decided to dig around and ruined the nest and buried her eggs. I was able to get all of them together, and they're only a day or so from hatching. I have no incubator, so I made a nest, and put a heat lamp right by it... will this work? Is there any small chance it will? I don't want her ducklings to die, and she had no interest in sitting on the eggs anymore.

It absolutely could. First, I would candle the eggs and check viability. Hens have an amazing ability to know when to hang in there and when to quit. She might have given up on the eggs because they are quitters.
Place a thermometer under the heat lamp and try to maintain a temp of 99*. I would also place some wet towels around the eggs to increase the humidity.
How much time elapsed between first hatch and her getting off the nest?

There is still hope! I agree on candling the eggs to see if someone is moving inside. If so, keep them warm. Once I had an egg hatch that was just sitting too close to the stove (my daughter found it far away from the broody hen, so we didn't think to check it). All of my baking must have helped keep her warm enough to hatch lol.
