Around april 18 my sister and her boyfriend found a Pacific Black duck and her 13 eggs on our grandparents boat, the bad thing is the boat was getting sold so i made the decision to go out on the boat and make her trust me. I went out everyday, just sitting with her, feeding her and she slowly began letting me pet her, she even sat in my lap. On may 8 my grandparents finally sold the boat and it was getting picked up on May 12 so they decide to catch Benedict and her now 6 eggs which is a bit strange since the nest in on a boat in the water, anyways they had a new nest with everything she needed and they brought her home, she sat on the eggs for an hour maybe and then left, and she hasn’t been back in four days.... so will these eggs survive if i try and hatch them myself or is it too late because they went without heat for 4 days ???

Put them in an incubator and see what happens. Here is a chart of what they should look like which may or may not be helpful to you:

Thank you this helped a lot, unfortunately 3 of the ducklings have died, the other 3 are looking decent when candling but there’s just no movement which is worrying but i’m keeping them in the incubator and hopefully these little babies survive :)

i think the other three haven’t survived sadly they started to have cracks in them and have dark blotches along those cracks assuming bacteria must’ve got in :( i was really hoping they would survive but i’m not sure now they all look like the egg in this picture i’m so sad
