Abandoned ducklings.. not again..

I wish I could just take them all in :(
I'm gonna be very worried about these babies because I have never seen her have this many. She usually hatches about 4 or 5 and 1 or 2 survive
Hopefully they will be okay. There were a LOT of babies in the water!

Yeah I really wish I could take her in shes sweet. She's been at this park since before I started coming a couple years ago and she looked the same age then as she does now. She is one of 3 muscovy girls at the park with 6 drakes. The drakes are sweet too... when they're not all rapey
It would be hard for me to not take all the girls. And all the babies. I'm such a softie.

I just came back this morning and found her next to a heron with one in its mouth. She only has one duckling left now. I really really wish I could just take in all the girls but I would have to rehome Puffin and Karen to take in any more.

Are you in Florida? Where is this at? If its anywhere nearby to me I may be able to help.

Could you try to take them and give them away so that they won’t be killed?

Well they were already all killed except for one duckling. It is Florida, Pinellas County

Oh okay, that’s too far from me. Won’t you be able to take it in for a few days just so he doesn’t get killed? You could try to find him a home, post him on Craigslist.

I would feel so bad for him taking him away from his mom while he is all alone

I've only been here for like 30 minutes today, in that time there have been about a dozen attempts on the ducklings life by seagulls, one of which a seagull came close and the duckling actually started following the seagull, I think that one definitely would've ended in the little ones demise if I was not here. I would feel so bad taking him from his mom but honestly I'm really considering it because mom won't be able to tell the difference if I take it or if a seagull does, but the ducklings life could be saved
