they are wood ducks.. I wish i was closer and I would help out... r u sure the mamma abondon them ? thats alot of babies. WOW. unless she was killed !

Please please please bring them to a wildlife rehabber! Wood ducks need a permit to keep and the ducklings are very hard to feed.

Definitely woodies. Mom was probably killed if they were by themselves at dark. Aggravates me that only the government is capable of caring for abandoned wood ducks.

Yep, wood ducks. We have a couple of families near my home. It would be best if a licensed facility could take care of them as they are really hard to feed from what others have said.

I am aware of that. Pisses me off that the gooberment has dumbed us all down to the point we allow it to be the only one that can act responsibly. Government responsibility, now there's a contradiction in terms.
