I had a broody duck hatch out a clutch minus one egg. After 3 days she gave up on it but I candled it and it was alive. I put it in an ice cream bucket on a baby towel with a heating pad around it. I'm spraying water in there four moisture. It's been inside for 3 full days and it had internally pipped about 48 hours ago (I could see the beak and hear peeping). No sign of external pip. Still lots of movement, but am worried babies conditions for hatching are less than optimal. Should I do anything to try to help? I could see yawning 24 hours ago so wasn't concerned yet, but am starting to wonder.... thought and advice please

Egg is starting to discolour, is it a lost cause? Still hearing so much cheeping.

if its been 48 hours since internal pip i would push a dent into the egg, and start picking the shell away untill i found and cleared an airway to its bill. starting at the aircel obviosly

All that discoloring is blood, thats not good but dont give up yet. Keep us updated
