Thank you all so much for your help. I let the baby go, out of sheer ignorance it seems. My heart is broken, I tried so hard to help this little one. I've lost a few ducks, but this has been the hardest, and now to find out I made the wrong choice, I'm devastated.

Darn..Don't beat yourself up though. We learn as we go.....

So true. Sometimes when we try to save one of them, we just prolong their suffering. It's hard to know what's right and what's wrong sometimes. We are all doing the best we can. If only they could talk....
