Abnormal finding in egg - kinda gross!

I gave a dozen eggs to my mother and she just sent me this pic. It was inside the shell with the yolk. She said it had no smell and all the other eggs are fine. We do not have roosters. We only have 4 hens. Any idea what it could be?

Could be lash(infection) material.
Cutting it in half and cleared pic might solve the mystery.
Had nothing to do with roosters, even if you had one.
How old are your birds, and what breed are they?

Could it be some type of feces that got stuck in the egg for some reason?

They’re young, just started laying within the last 6-8 weeks. We clean the coop every single day - Inside and out (they’re kept in due to many critters). They’re just regular old brown (sex-link?) layers (how they’re advertised from the farm store). Brown eggs, too...
