Ok, do chickens like a fan when its hot or do I redirect it so it will pull the cooler night air in?
I would be concerned with maximizing air exchange. If reliant upon direct air flow and birds move to get into it, they may be inclined to bunch up. Normally when they get hot, they spread out so promoting bunching up would be counter productive.
I place a fan in window facing out. This draws cool air in the other windows while pulling hot out.
I do not like using the fan facing inward because it does not cool off the barn as well and the chickens do not need it blowing directly on them.
