About to set eggs...Please advize on humidity...

If you are familiar with the LG, I have the fan on one of the windows, with the air blowing to the side, the direction of the length of the window. I have the hygrometer on the side farthest away. Idk how to explain it, but the hygrometer is as far away from the fan as possible.

I thought it was the hygrometer, too, but I put my other one in there, and it said the same thing. I just calibrated the hygrometers a week or so ago, and they are both only a few % low. I don't think it has been that humid here, although it did rain the other day, so maybe that has something to do with it...?

<edit> I just checked it again, and one reads 57% and the other reads 61%, which is still too high...

I have a Lg, but I did not add a fan. I am wondering if where you have the fan at is the problem? The other question I would have is the fan the right size? I would take all of the water out.

AAAARG!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Ok Tiff, should I turn the egss back the way I had them ? And, what do I need to buy to check the humidity in there? Ugh! This is my first time at this, Ive got LOTS to learn!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

When you candle what end is the "blob" at? Big end or little end? You should be able to see vains running along the egg's. Try not to stress to bad over it. Everybody has to start somewhere and you have came to the right place..

The humity has come down quite a bit....when I checked it for the first time after heading to bed (around 1:15am est) it was at 37%. Now the humidity is at 35%...so it's still going down. I'm wondering how low will it go? Untill I see it stay stable for a while (at least an hour or two) I'm going to hold off on setting these eggs....but ohhhhh the temptations!

Just remember you do not want it to low. 35% is low. Not to bad but it really needs to be atleast 40%. 45% is the perfect humidity, but 40% will do. I am not trying to stress you even more, I am just trying to help you get a good hatch
