Abused baby chicken, found his new forever home

Hey guys! I picked up this little guy yesterday morning. He was abandoned in a box at a dog park with no food or water. He has some welts on his back, he’s in great hands now and loved to cuddle I’m more then positive it’s a male but I was wondering if anyone knew this breed. He is beautiful and friendly such a docile bird. He’s got a beautiful deep red/Auburn pigment with 2 full black black feathers and then other red feathers with black lines/markings.

Also does anyone know roughly his age I was guessing that hes about 8-12 weeks old

I don't know the breed, but he's not fully feathered, so closer to 4 - 5 weeks age. Definitely a boy.

My heart stopped when I heard about him, some guy found her walking his dog and posted it on Facebook as soon as he posted it within 3 minutes I was contacting him and on my way to get him so animal deserves to be treated poorly, the poor baby has welts and scrapes all over his back, and he smelt so bad, he’s drinking proper water and eating his correct food now so hopefully he’ll be healthy very soon he’s very loving I hate to see the state he is in. Thank you for your comment I try to do anything I can for every animal there is, together we can all make a difference I know people on this sight have the same passion I do!
