Accident

I had a coyote attack earlier this year, and two of my pullets went into shock. Like yours, they seemed sleepy and didn't want to eat. But now, after a week or two under a heat lamp and some scrambled eggs, they are perfectly fine. I think the best thing you can do is keep her warm, and makes sure she eats and drinks. Some electrolytes in her water might perk her up a bit.:hugs

I would get her early in the morning, and bring her inside (or go do that now.) If you have electrolytes—NutriDrench, SaveAChick, Pedialyte, or even Gatorade—offer her a cup to take a few sips. If she will not drink, gently dip her beak into the cup for a short second, let her swallow, then repeat. Keep her warm around 75 degrees. If you can post any pictures of her that would help. Hopefully she will perk up with some time and supportive care. Tomorrow offer some watery food, scrambled egg, or other things she likes.

Okay thank you! I’ll do that tomorrow morning. I really hope she pulls through, I feel terrible about it.

How big was that stick....did it hit her only in the head?
I'd have kept her inside for observation and warmth.
Only time will tell.
The stick was pretty small but kinda thick, but her head is also pretty small and i’m not totally sure but it seems like it, I didn’t even know her and a couple of other chickens came over to me before it was too late :(.
