Accidentally purchased meat bird, now what?

I've gotten to where sometimes I can't open jars. I've got to get my husband or son to do it.
Put a spoon tip under the lid and bowl against the jar... and push handle towards the jar. Some jars have a mark or a bump for the best spot. Some old can openers have a flat that works.
It flexes the metal lid and breaks the seal
 
My husband bought one of hose countertop roasters last year. As a whole, I try to avoid specialty kitchen appliances because of the room they take up. But this thing is worth it. My oven was actually free while the turkey cooked!
That’s what we use too!
Ours definitely doesn’t have only one purpose though… we actually use it for huge roasts, stew, and casserole for a crowd. In fact, we hardly use it for turkey at all!
