Accidentally received 2 25lb bags of Layer feed and have 3 cockerels.

I get a subscription of 4 25 lb bags of Scratch and Peck's Grower mash for my flock of 24 Pullets and 3 cockerels. And provide oyster shell and their own egg shells on the side free choice.

That said, they accidentally sent me 2 bags of their layer feed in this month's order. Thankfully, they quickly send the correct order, but now I have 2 bags of layer feed that I'd hate to waste.

Is it possible to mix part of the layer feed into the grower and dilute the calcium so it doesn't do anything detrimental to my cockerels? If so at what ratio is safe? ( i.e. 1 part Layer to 2 parts Grower) OR should I not mess with it at all?

They won't drop dead or likely suffer any issues from a few weeks of layer, you could do a 50/50 mix or even straight up layer.
