Hello,
I just started incubation in my class yesterday and had monitored the temp with no problems the couple of days before. I have the standard incubator thermal air Hovabator and there is a little screw/toggle at the top that is used to control the temperature (decrease, increase) When I came in this morning I realized that the temperature was at 95.5 when I came into the building. I then tried to turn it up, but the screw has detached from the metal portion on the bottom and I don't know what to do! The heating section is very hot and I wouldn't be able to unplug everything because there are eggs in there! Should I rig up my spare incubator and transfer the eggs instead of opening the current (and releasing all of the heat and humidity) to try to fix the problem. Help! I feel like I've been foiled on day 1 :/

It won't hurt the eggs if you open incubator for a few. Remember hens leave their eggs to eat, drink etc.
Are you saying the wafer has fallen off of the adjustment screw?
