couldnt talk them all into the same pic but we currently have 7 black turkeys running around the incubator... 5 more look to have pips!

moved the 7 black turkeys to a tote and gave them a chick tutor

this little one looks silver. There are still maybe 5 ? Turkeys in their shells talking, I hope to meet them by morning and their chickie friends are due

That's the plan. I like to keep them where I can easily see if they are eating and drinking for a few days.

here is the gang this morning 11 turkey poults, only one silver looking one but 2 look more like a bronze down but with light tips? And of course still one chick keeping them company. One more turkey talking in its shell in the bator and the chicks starting to pip as they are due today

Oh almost forgot I got a call from the school, the FFA advisor walked in to one chick out running around in the bator this morning, they are due tomorrow so I think that's a good sign!

I do hope all the living eggs hatch out! Oh, my fingers are crossed! I've noticed a lot of splashes and blues among my marans this year... The blue pen has been prolific! And the turkey eggs are all covered by one tri colored mottled slate. So many colors possible! There might even be blue sweetgrass possible!

yeah that was a big disappointment... I have not checked the shipped eggs in the last few days.
on a separate note the FFA class had 2 chickies running around in the incubator at our alumni meeting last night, and some of the turkeys were piped!

and a blue copper marans! I have not heard anything new today.

on a sad note we ended up with 13 turkeys hatching! And then 2 started looking like they were overheating? The other 11 are fine but one black and one bronze looking one passed away. We did have a black and a white chick hatch overnight so that was a plus!
