ACV in Water

Ok it was not the vinegar that stopped them from drinking the water... there was something in the water
I feel so bad for not checking it earlier!
Floating, maybe algae, mold ? gross.

I cleaned it out and put in fresh water, about 1-2 gallons and just put a tap full of Mother vinegar in, but forgot to shake the bottle first. not sure if that makes a difference.

The funny thing is that they will drink out of the Koi Pond

Not shaking most likely a non factor. My chickens will drink out of rain puddles with whatever is floating or suspended in that water. Maybe whatever was in your water had a certain smell or taste that they did not like.

If you ferment your feed, bypass the ACV. If you do not ferment your feed, ACV is fine to use, but I'd make sure they have a choice between ACV and plain water.
