I built an under coop chicken water dispenser with four inch sewer pipe and chicken nipples and while it's been working beautifully, I'm not sure if its safe to add ACV their water since the nipples are metal and I've read that the vinegar reacts with the metal and makes something unhealthy for the chickens. Any thoughts?

Hmmmm....i haven't heard anything about vinegar and metal messing up, my brother's a chemistry expert & he said "nah it should be ok". lol. We have nipples on the bottom of our buckets too, but find that the chicks STILL LOVE a cool drink of water like in a lil cup to where they can sink their beak into,

Frankly if it was me, I'd rather have a cup to drink out of too, than someone dropping water droplets down my throat LOL, so yea, it keeps em cooler I Think

acv and galvanized steel are a no no but the parts in nipples are most generally stainless steel so no probs i use the nipples off of ebay that can screw apart and once in a while i take them apart to clean
