I have 10 Hens that I got last year in February. This year I just bought 4 chicks (straight run) and they are about 2.5 weeks old, along with 2 mallard ducklings i got last Thursday. My 10 hens have a coop and a chain link fence around it, where they get locked up at night and can free range through out the day. When my chicks and ducklings grow up I am not quite here how I am going to mix them together. I know that you shouldn't just mix em together but let them get used to each other. My main question is how will I raise my chicks and ducklings (when adults) together, when the adult hens need layer feed and the ducks/chicks need starter/raiser? When the chicks/ducks start laying then I can mix them together but what about before them? Sorry if this is confusing! Thanks!!

I always switch everyone to a Flock Raiser (Purina) type feed and supplement the calcium with oyster shell. This feed is designed for all types of poultry and is fine for ducks chicks and chickens.
