Adding water to Brinsea Octo 20

How are all of you adding water to your Octo 20 Eco?
Do you simply remove tray and fill then close the bator back up due to the incredibly quick temp recovery times?
Or are you snaking water in through a tube and how?
If through a tube, are you snaking it through the air vent I assume? How can you see the water level under the eggs if so?
Looking for feedback and techniques please...

I don;t remove the tray, I just pour in between the eggs.

What???? You must remove an egg or 2 to have a place to pour, yes?
Is it ok if a drop or 2 gets on the eggs(minimal)?

Really. Just those metal bars. I will have to go look at it. Not in front of it now.
Seems as though the bars, which are narrow, would not leave nearly enough space with 2 rows of eggs side by side.
Do you try to get it directly into the trough? or just to the bottom under the tray for it to drain to the trough?
Sorry if these are silly questions...
