Adopting an Anatolian Shepard

We currently have a border collie that came to us with several behavior issues: urinating in the house, aggression with urinating, food aggression, dog aggression, people aggression, aggressive towards sticks and water. You name it she had it. She also had giardia and heartworm disease. Shes cured of both AND all her aggression. Shes now a registered service animal
That’s what I’m talking about ❤️👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 Love and dedication and caring = amazing dog!!!❤️❤️❤️ Thank you for not giving up on her!!

Unfortunately her "job" is what caused her to get dropped off at the shelter. The former owner couldn't deal with her barking any longer.

She barks maybe 1-2x a day at our house (which sets off the other 2 dogs, so all 3 go running around like idiots) since we don't have the foot or auto traffic to trigger more frequent barking.

She's very handy to send out to chase off coyotes. :D
I can’t tolerate excessive barking but I don’t mind a warning bark or two, especially as I’ve found that it makes Finn feel good about himself 😂

Honestly we started with a foster to adopt program. In that time she had bit me. Just pressure and she did not break the skin. My husband was ready to say no but I said yes because had we brought her back with that knowledge they might have put her down. I dont give up easily. Dogs cam be trained but people are more stubborn

There's nothing wrong with not adopting a dog, but maaaajor kudos to those that do and take the time to love and train more difficult dogs that others have given up on.
Theres no such thing as a "bad dog". Theres only bad behavior. Bad behavior is created by human ignorance and corrected by acceptance. Ive never met a "bad dog" but I have met several bad people

Absolutely dogs can changed 99.9% of the time humans .1%
I have been bit a few times over the years skin broken (bad) a few times stitches needed etc all those dogs we able to be turned around ❤️ I personally never report a bite. And like you said the shelter would have most likely put her/him down. That’s another reason I’m not really believing that the dog in question showed aggression and the shelter staff didn’t believe the woman who returned her/him. I have been training, competing, rescuing, rehabilitating dogs allllll my life. Honestly it’s my happy place ❤️

I agree with that, however- there are some dogs that are just genetically aggressive. I'm not talking breeds like border collies or GSDs that develop issues easily because of unstable temperaments being an issue, or breeds like rottweilers where, from good lines, there should be some aggression, I'm talking about dogs that are few and far between that are genetically aggressive to a point where it cannot be changed or managed. However, these dogs are extremely rare, and 99% of aggression or 'bad' behavior is at the fault of the owner.

Exactly.
Owner is at fault not dog. I love animals always have. I wanted to be a vet but couldnt put dogs down

I can understand that 100%, I went to school to be a vet tech and we had a straight 6 weeks of euthanasia's and dissection's. It was horrible and I didn't think I would make it through it, but I did, and by the time I did my externship I was a bit numb to it, but would get enraged with owners wanting to euthanize because of their own negligence.
